Pub Stella d'Oro - Gemona del Friuli

Welcome to Pub Stella d'Oro - the Pub in Gemona since 1987. Located on "Piazza del Ferro", in the historic centre of town just below Gemona's famous castle, The Pub provides a taste of England in Friuli with the atmosphere of a classic “British Pub”. Our name in English means Golden Star.

You can taste one of our great selection of Scottish and international beers, sip a quality single malt whiskey, or try one of interesting cocktails. To accompany your drinks our famous hot panini sandwiches are very popular, along with other snacks.

Our Beers

One of the most well known ale houses in the province of Udine, we have been selling specialist beers for over thirty years. Pub Stella d'Oro offers an admirable range of craft and international beers with seven draught beer pumps as well as a great selection of bottled beers. Our classic draught beers include Tennent's from Scotland, and the legendary Irish beer, Guinness. From Germany we offer the Bavarian beer Wieninger, and from Belgium the antique Hoegaarden. In addtion to our usual selection we have one guest draught beer which changes regularly to provide something new for all beer lovers.

Our whiskey

Well know for our large selection of interesting and speciality whiskies, we have a notable range of “single malts” from the Scottish highlands to excite the tastes of whiskey connoisseurs. We also have a range of international whiskies.

Panini and Snacks

To accomapny our beers we also offer a range of sandwiches and "panini". We have a delicious menu of interesting hot panini well loaded with imaginative ingredients, including something for vegetarians. You can also order fried potatoes and snacks to savour whislt sitting comfortably in a warm and welcoming ambiance.

It is easy to find us on Piazza Del Ferro in the upper part of Gemona, with a large parking area right in front of the bar. Outside we have a raised terrace for sitting outside "al fresco" in the summer with beautiful views over the plains and surrounding mountains. The outdoor terrace provides the perfect place to sip an ice cold beer whilst watching the sunset.

Inside, the warm and cozy interior is decked out in rustic wood typical of an English Pub. You can easily find a comfortable corner for sharing that magic romantic moment with some cocktails, or stand at the bar with friends to quench your thirst with a refreshing beer in friendly company.
